A peer-to-peer shipping app, built as a team in a mobile prototyping course
Shipit is a peer-to-peer shipping app: if you’re already travelling somewhere, you can take a package along and get paid for it. It started as an idea I sketched in the summer of 2025, and that autumn our team of five turned it into a working prototype in a university course on mobile development.
Together we designed every screen in Figma, then built the app in React Native with Expo and Supabase over five weeks of sprints.
You post a package to send or a trip you’re making, filter the feed for a match, and chat with the other person in real time. Offers are sent and accepted right in the chat, each delivery can be followed from pickup to drop-off, and ratings and reviews help people decide whom to trust.
It runs on iOS, Android and the web, but was never released.
